Here is the performance description of the new products when wrapped across copper conductor (Taping Machine: Double-edged vertical taping machine with speed of 1800 to 2000 rotates/minute). No phenomena of desquamation, replacement or powder scattering occur during high-speed winding, the copper conductor wrapped with Pamica tape PS5460- MGF & PJ5460-MGF is flat, smooth, and homogeneous. Its performance is stable and its quality reaches an exceptional high lever during high voltage testing. The finished cables, after injection molding of the layer of rubber, are of extremely high quality and comply with IEC standard.

The fireproof layer has properties of homogeneous distribution of granularity and structure, and the diameter of the finished cables is shortened by 0.02 millimeters, which not only ensures good quality, but also saves raw materials.

(1)Compared with ordinary single-side mica tapes, Pamica Mica tape PS5460- MGF & PJ5460-MGF have much higher tensile strength and are suitable for high-speed winding or lengthwise wrapping.

(2)Our technology experts make some special technical disposal to one side of the glass fiber fabric, and add a layer of PP film to the glass fiber fabric acting as a packing to fill in the meshes of the fabric, which not only increase its disruptive strenth, but also make the fexibility even better.

(3)The layer of mica paper is tightly and directly bonded to the copper conductor, which forms the conductors whole sealing conductors. This makes the fireproof properties of wires & cables even better.

Background of our new products:

Mica tapes used for electrical wires & cables can be classified into several categories according to their specific composition, which include single-side Phlogopite mica tapes, double-side Phlogopite mica tapes, single-side synthetic mica tapes, double-side synthetic mica tapes, triple-ingredients-combined mica tapes (natural mica paper/ synthetic mica paper, glass fiber fabric, film), and composite mica tapes. Different ingredients have different functions. The layer of mica has the fire-resistant properties, while the layers of glass fiber fabric and film act as packing materials to meet the tensile strength requirement.

Single-side mica tape is difficult for manufacturers to produce as it requires relatively higher production techniques while the product quality is unstable; Desquamation, replacement and powder scattering are easy to occur during winding/longwise wrapping process. The most widely used mica tapes in the electrical wire & cables industry have been double-side mica tapes and triple-ingredients-combined mica tapes (mica, glass fiber fabric, and film). But there are many defects for these two types of mica tapes. It costs more to produce double-side mica tapes and the mica content is lower than that of single-side mica tapes, which means that the fire-resistant strength is reduced. Triple-ingredients-combined mica tapes (mica, glass fiber fabric, and film), effected by the quality of available films in the market, is flammable and will produce carbon which results in potential risk.
